Indeed Featured review The most useful review selected by Indeed. Since starting here, I've had opportunities to express ideas and make suggestions. I always feel like they listen to me, and appreciate my efforts. I've been able to take the position and make it mine, and my assertiveness has been recognized. It can be hectic at times, but everyone is working towards the same goal together.

This company has good values and is committed to providing the best transportation to children. Employees are friendly and seem to truly have a passion for the industry. Pros Friendly staff, caring, compassionate, competitive wages. This is a job where you will leave feeling accomplished.
While the environment can be fast-paced at times, you end each day knowing you made a difference in the local community. Pros Weekends off, Nights Off, Benefits. A family-oriented and community inspired organization!
This is a job that can easily fit into anyone's schedule! You get flexible employment opportunities, fair wages, and time off to spend with your family! I decided to try becoming a school bus driver when I was 32 years old. I had 3 school aged children and my husband worked rotating shifts. Daycare rj rhodes expensive, and I wasn't fond of leaving my kids in the care of someone else. Then I saw an ad for free training to become a driver for Rhodes. I found it was an exceptionally good fit for me, giving me time during the day, and being there for my kids We kept the same hours, and had the same holidays off.
I could drive them to their sporting events, and field trips and get paid to do it! Then there were the summers! Wonderful to spend those warm summer days at home with the kids and collect unemployment rj rhodes boot! I'm happy and proud to say I'm still driving a Rhodes school bus 30 years later!
Cons None! Your experience matters. Help out others considering your employer. Rate your employer. Stressful environment due to lack of process and certain people in the office. They expect everything and are somewhat fair about giving you in return. They honestly need more process and better management in some areas there.

Pros 1hr lunch. Cons Career advancement, management. Yes There are 6 helpful reviews 6 No. If you take day off they call you regardless and beg you to come in. They play favorites with employees. The drivers do not have any say. If issues on bus arise management brushes it off. Pay is 95 a day midday is 14 a day.
There is a salary employee who brings their baby to work with her. She holds that child while talking on Two way radio and you can barely hear the dispatchers. Very unprofessional if you ask me. They basically only hire family. Charters are not given out fairly. They fire employees without warning. They never have enough drivers to cover the runs.
Poor company to work for. Yes There are 8 helpful reviews 8 No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. Was hired to work in the dispatch position for this company. I was a hard worker and never a minute late.
My training was approximately 10 hours. I would say that was hardly enough for a new job. I was picking it up, more everyday. After about a month I was told I was no longer needed.
I left a 9 year career to come work for Rhodes. I was told they were so family oriented. They cared so much for all their employees. Then out of the blue with no warning I was let go. The owner is a liar They only welcome their own family here. A woman brings her 3 month old child to work with her everyday and changes his diapers right in the office. I would avoid this company completely.
It's truly a shame how some people are treated. Pros None. Cons 9 hour day, no pto first year, no k. Yes There are 10 helpful reviews 10 No. This company tries to layer itself rj rhodes an ambiguous management structure. There is no clear chain of command. You have no clear employee handbook to reference.
You are paid by the run They are great at finding ways to get you work off the clock. Fuel your vehicle, clean your vehicle, wait in line to start a run for couple of hours. They have mastered taking a pair of three hour runs and turning it into a 10 hour chore.
